Human beings as programmatic functions: A perspective on social hierarchy

A human body is the most sophisticated piece of machinery known to us. Of course, it is a matter of oversimplification to reduce it to a mere programmatic function (a piece of code that performs a specific functionality). However, in the context of societal hierarchy, we all do perform certain functions that is of utility to society and we get compensated for it based on various attributes about the function that you perform.
